Wound Care Dressings Market Valued at $11 Billion by 2025

According to a recent report published by MarketsandMarkets, the market of wound care dressings is on pace to be worth $11.2 billion by the year 2025. That’s billion with a b. What remains to be seen is whether that growth is due to increased demand (likely) or due to increased costs unrelated to demand. We’ve known for some time that the boomer generation is entering the elderly age, making it the largest population of elderly ever known to America. Combine boomer’s age and population with the obesity epidemic, and mix in the lower cost of wound care vs. hospitalization, and we have a recipe for a wound care economic explosion in the coming years.
