Intellicure Announces Integration with PointClickCare to Streamline Mobile Wound Care Documentation Across Nursing Facilities
THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Intellicure, the leader in wound care software and clinical decision support, today announced the availability of its integration with PointClickCare, allowing mobile wound care providers to eliminate duplicate documentation while securely exchanging patient information between the two platforms.
The integration is designed specifically for wound care practitioners who provide care in skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, and other post-acute care settings using PointClickCare. By securely exchanging patient information between the two platforms, the integration reduces duplicate documentation, improves workflow efficiency, and strengthens continuity of care.
“Our goal has always been to remove administrative burdens from wound care providers so they can spend more time caring for patients,” said Dr. Caroline Fife, Chief Medical Officer of Intellicure. “Our integration with PointClickCare is another major step toward creating a more connected healthcare ecosystem that allows clinicians to work more efficiently without sacrificing documentation quality.”
Through the integration, demographic information and clinical data—including patient information, medications, allergies, immunizations, conditions, diagnostic reports, observations, and patient lists—can be securely transmitted from PointClickCare into Intellicure. After the wound care encounter is completed, Intellicure securely sends encounter documentation back to PointClickCare. The document may include assessments, care plans, durable medical equipment (DME) orders, and other clinical documentation.
The integration supports Intellicure’s complete suite of wound care solutions, including:
- Intellicure’s full-featured wound care electronic health record (EHR)
- Intellicure’s mobile wound care applications
- iMeasure.ai, Intellicure’s AI-powered wound measurement technology
By eliminating duplicate data entry, clinicians can document care faster while helping ensure that both systems remain synchronized with current clinical information.
The integration is particularly valuable for independent wound care providers and mobile wound care practices that serve multiple PointClickCare facilities, allowing them to continue using Intellicure’s specialty wound care workflows while maintaining seamless communication with facility records.
“Specialty wound care requires documentation capabilities that extend far beyond those of a general EHR,” Dr. Fife said. “This integration allows clinicians to leverage Intellicure’s wound care-specific documentation, clinical decision support, and workflow tools while ensuring that important patient information flows seamlessly between systems.”
Intellicure combines specialty wound care documentation, AI-assisted wound measurement, clinical decision support, coding assistance, DME ordering, wound care billing software, wound care data analytics, and revenue cycle tools into a single platform built specifically for wound care providers.
The PointClickCare integration joins Intellicure’s growing portfolio of interoperable healthcare solutions built using modern HL7 FHIR standards. Intellicure also integrates with leading healthcare platforms, including Epic and Oracle Health (Cerner), supporting the company’s commitment to improving interoperability across the healthcare continuum.
